Implementation of project activities into the teaching of regular subjects in adapted physical activity

Name: Implementation of project activities into the teaching of regular subjects of Adapted Physical Activity. Objective: The aim of the thesis is finding out the current state of implementation of project activities into the teaching of regular subjects of APA, examining the students experience with project-based learning, their opinion on project-based learning and the impact of project- based learning on students and their professional and personal life. Furthermore, to present opinions, ideas, experiences, comments and perspectives of students to practising pedagogues and professional public in order to improve attitude to project activities in APA. Methods: We will use theoretical qualitative research phenomenological conception. To achieve our objectives was used a literary analysis, which introduces theoretical bases in relation to APA, pedagogy and philosophy and self-opinion survey containing 46 closed and open questions focused on experience, opinion and attitude towards project-based learning among 15 contemporary and former students of APA who were intentionally selected. The Dalton Plan and its current use

The Thesis deals with the Dalton Plan and it is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is concerned with the scientific literature connected with the pragmatic pedagogy, the Dalton Plan and specifics of the Dalton Plan in the Czech Republic. The goal of the empirical part is to research of social climate in Dalton and traditional classes and traditional classes and their mutually comparison.
Developing competence to tackle the problems of philosophizing with children

. This Bachelor?s thesis represents the platform of Philosophy for children and its ability of development competence to tackle the problems. First of all, the terms as competence and key competence with its importance in educational system will be introduced. The influence of pragmatic philosophy for the origin of pragmatic education and later on the platform itself will be discussed. The thesis introduces J. Dewey as one of the most significant representative of pragmatic education. The thesis also describes the history and characteristic of philosophy for the children and the difference between the discussion and dialogue. M. Lipman as a founder of this program will be also introduced. The main part of thesis is focused on the term of critical, creative and caring thinking just as thinking skills which are important tools for solving the problems. Some deficiencies which were made by the author as a facilitator are introduced in the final self-reflection of an educator.
Dewey´s problem solving koncept

This thesis tries to present an important figure of the pragmatic education, John Dewey. It presents a detailed analysis of his work, in which he informs about his way of solving the problems. Also for comparison it presents other theories relating to the methods of solving problems. In conclusion, the thesis discusses pedagogical concepts, which resulted from Dewey´s lifelong research, i.e. problem and project based learning and, in particular, their current application in schools and the link with the educational requirements.

The thesis deals with the reaction to progressive education and philosophy in Czechoslovakia of 1900 ? 1948, it outlines the development and inclusion of progressivist ideas to educational reform. Next, it survens the reactions Czech pedagogues to progressive education. Based on studies of those pedagogues (Příhoda, Hendrich, Uher, Čapek, Masaryk), and attitudes fowarde progressive education it describes the background of educational reforms in pre-war Czechoslovakia.
Pragmatic inspiration for the organization of scout education

The thesis deals with the matching between the methods of pragmatic pedagogy and the new educational program of Scout Association.. The theoretical part describes the development of pragmatism in America, and the continuity of philosophical and pedagogical trends, pragmatism in Europe and in the Czech Republic. It explains the development of Woodcraft movement in the coherence with pragmatic pedagogy. It describes the basic educational methods of Scout organization; make it clear what the new program is based on. Next is the New program compared with pragmatic pedagogy, how to create program activities in accordance with the methods of pragmatic pedagogy and of the fulfillment of specified competencies, which person should have, according to Scout ideals. The project part is devoted to the program for the weekend event, which connects methods of pragmatic education, scout education and competencies are fulfilled.
